Has anyone added a TC to a baja warrior/heat bike? The TC plate, at the back of the plate, rubs against the engine mount frame rail. I tried raising the engine with 1 inch spacers, but then i cant get the gas cap off the tank due to the upper frame rail.

My question is, has anyone had this problem? Would if be ok to trim some off of the bottom of the plate? I would have room if I could grind down a little at the bottom side.

Thanks

Every time I mess with my kart I grind some of the TC plate away.
I'm sure it will be fine.
People even cut some of the "bosses" that support the shaft.
Remember this advice comes with ZERO liability on my part.

After a bit of looking and pondering, I decided to grind it down and go with it. She works like a charm. My first experience with a TC, and I am very pleased!

Nice, but you posted the wrong side of the engine

Well, seeing as I no longer needed advice on the TC and that it is obviously mounted and functional at this point, I just posted a picture of the final product that I took while I was out test riding.

This is a DIY forum, and it would be nice to see a pic of how you fixed your problem for the next person who has the same issue.

Do you know where I could get a pair of replacement forks for the Baja warrior like yours, black?
My bike was not part of the recall, and the forks were discontinued. I contacted the manufacture, and they told me they do not sell them anymore, only will pay for service to have them replaced. I was able to acquire a triple tree, but can not find the forks anywhere.

I currently have suspension forks, but they are old and rusty. Rather than repairing, I would rather purchase a new pair; however, they are discontinued. I have a baja warrior mb200
