Hello, new to the site. Glad to have a resource like this available for me to figure things out. Removing the governor and oil sensor from a predator 212. All the videos I’ve seen have the governor being pulled out but the post that it’s mounted to is still in. When I removed the governor I removed that post as well. It’s not threaded. Any idea if this will be an issue?image.jpg

Nope you did good. Get it all outta there.
Make sure there's not a thin washer stuck to the case where the post came out of. May or may not be there. I've seen both.

You can plug that hole with some JB weld or epoxy. RTV silicone would do too. Or tap some threads and put a screw in it with some thread sealant.

Some people cut the post shorter and leave it in so they can still use the throttle linkage.

Whatever floats your boat. Just don't leave the hole open.

I usually knock that post out when I remove the governor, I pull all the crap off of it and knock it back in. It’s much easier than fiddling with the clip. If it don’t fit nice and snug, tap some threads and use a bolt to plug the hole.
