looks good! this just reminded me that i need to get some of them right angle magnets! if you wanted to you may be able to re-locate the shock a bit so you get more of its potential travel, but it looks like it should be fun anyway!

yeah, i think it has to be like 6 inches shorter so ill just redo the whole area behind the engine. but the swingarm came out awesome.

BTW..... the welding magnets are awesome. they were like 5 for 4 at harbor freight. these are the small ones, but thats all i need for now.

its great, i can not even worry about getting a 90 degree angle wrong as long as the sides of the magnets are clean because every weld the magnet attracts a crapload of splatter.

yea, thats exactly why i want to get some, no harbor fright within like an hour and a half or 2 hours, so trips to HF are pretty much non existent... but i can still get some from the local welding supply!

yeah or you could buy online, but shipping costs as much as they do..

maybe your parents could pay for the shipping instead of driving you and spending gas!

yea, sometimes, but i think its mainly the time it takes. its probably good for me because i end-up buying nice, quality tools locally, than i do buying cheap HF stuff and having it shipped.

alright sorta an update.

welded the jackshaft and made the thing no suspension in the back. WHY? because im afraid it will make it too complicated (im low on steel, and i dont want to make a tensioner)

the chain wont go tight-loose now. thats good.

unfortuately, it barely moved.

went about 20 feet, jackshaft bearing popped out, and shredded itself up. im afraid this bike has met an early end,,, its like a nightmare..........

Don't quit now Blue! This is gonna be a nice build, in the end it will be worth it. I just really want to see this thing finished and popping wheelies. :D

:worried2::worried2::worried2::worried2:

well it needs a new jackshaft bearing. maybe its geared totally wrong. im not doing anything to the frame now, ill always have it......... theres a summer ahead of me that started today!

finish it or.....build a bike like your baja. you could then have 2 nice sized off-road mini-bikes.

i was going to build a second fat tire mini bike before, but i didnt.... i think because it was costing too much as usual :mad2:
