NEW PROJECT !! :D

so, that electric pocket bike i converted to gas? its getting redone already. not enough power, especially off roading.

found out harbor freight IS DISCONTINUING THEIR 6.5HP GREYHOUNDS! get them while you can. as of right now i was told their warehouse has 10,000 left, and they ship out 100-130 per day. thats about 90 days left. :censored: thanks T-man.......

right before teardown of the pocket bike, next to the big boy ;)

ready to slice apart the frame. the engine is HUGE and wont even fit on it without chopping it all apart.

and here is test fitting the engine.....

here is a mock up, throwing the engine into the frame with razor MX 500 wheels. the SAME wheels that were on my last 6.5hp bike build.

i will update when something else happens! :D

Well I am thinking of making my bmx bike into a moped (but still be able to use the petals) and gear it for 25 mph with a tiny motor and use the petals for taking off and hills. I just drove my bike 10 miles round trip to my friends house and it sucks. Well just make shure you don't strip the teeth of the clutch :mad2:

Yea right as long as its better than walking. I havent rode my pedal bike in a while, but i bet it will feel slow and tiring!

Just gotta get this thing. Registered lol.

Where did you hear that Harbor Freight is discontinuing the Greyhound engines?

the user name t-man on here said he called and they said they were not getting any more in and just finishing off the warehouse.

Looks like you got your work cut out for you Blue. That thing will haul *** when it's done. The Baja Warrior/Heat bikes sure site high standards for your old mini-bikes.

O yeah, I like the upholstery job on your pocket bike, I had a trike that had recieved the duct tape treatment.

looks like this thing will be pretty fast! i do kinda agree with porsche930dude, you could have relocated the tank, made a header from scrap pipe, and cut down the filter box, but whatever, looks like it will come out nice! you going to race it against the warrior? :D

EDIT: theres a ton of parts accumulating in your basement!

i like the harbor freight jack stand/welder you got there :D

yeah, it used to be an electric pocket bike. the motor was totally fried, so i rigged in a razor motor, but wanted something faster and gas.

pics later on what it would have looked like with the old 13" wheels.

they are harbor freight dolly wheels.

as i was swapping the wheels for a mock up, i noticed grass stuck in cracks. the wheels are shot, not the inner tube, but apparently the treads are falling off in chunks.

i guess they dont like going 15mph. they had about 10psi in them, max was 30psi, but that shouldnt matter.

oh well, anyone getting them for a kart, well, get sawtooth instead.

ok, so here is the steel i cut up for the swingarm.

here is it all ready to be welded.

here is it welded.

here is the shock mount bar ready to be welded.

here is it welded and checking it with the wheel.

here is it matched up to the bike and a mock up of where the shock will go.

here is some chainsaw bar cut up to hold the tube that will have bearings in it and pivot on the frame.

here is the flanges for that with holes cut.

and thats all i have done today and i am taking a break since i have been working on it for the past like 5-6 hours and im aching lol.
