pocket bike keeps cutting off:(

ok i ran it with no exhaust nd ran really good so i changed the exhaust but with any exhaust i put on it still runs like crap nd it only runs with chock on nd i told my friend and he said i need to clean the jet in the carb

oh yeah nd i m working on another bike now that only runs with chock on nd i might need to clean the jets nd also on one of my bikes had no gaskets on anything is it ok to use cereal box cardboard for gasket material??

is there alot of carbon/oily build up on the edges of the exhaust port? if so then clean that up. be careful not to scratch the piston or bore.

You can clean out your pipe/muffler by heating it on your bbq or similar

edit: If it runs better with choke then sounds like you could have an airleak in your intake or maybe crankcase.

as fussy as the little 2 strokes are, air leak wise, you could try it, but youre better off buying a gasket kit.

its much easier too...

ok so i checked my jet nd i couldn't see through it so i soaked it in perfume since im out of rubbing alcohol nd it was esier to see through it nd i could blow through it esier so in the morning im going to test it nd im also gonna check my gaskets. o and 1 more thing i took appart one of my 49cc engines and the piston rings seems too big to fit any advice?

ok so i tested my bike nd it started up nd ran for a few minutes then started to bog down while i was riding it so i checked the fuel lines then blew ait through the carb nd no flow so i took of the fuel shut off valve and changed it with one from another bike and when it started it ran like a beast. and im going to check for the same thing on the other bikes.

A few correctly placed periods and comas would make your posts a little easier to read. Using A's in your and's wouldnt hurt either.

Perfume?? Get the right stuff for the job, a $5 can of carb cleaner. Piston rings need to be compressed to go back in. Piston ring compressors are like $10.
