Not to worry it is just Poop boy Fartman. It cleans up with bleach and Moonshine.

There....I fixed that for ya!

Niagara Falls!
Slowly I turn.....step by step......

BTW; I am so glad you found this thread....because I could use some "step by step " advice from the legend of all wooden builds. Your insight and innovation is still echoed and relived vicariously through the upcoming builders and the wooden kart hall of fame!

Excuse me while I weep....folks....we are in the presence of greatness!

Which brake shoes?

Annnnd....the difficult decisions continue!

While the plan is street use....some naysayers are saying this could become an "off-road" kart at any time....so...

From what I can gather, it appears the brake shoes on the left are better for off-road, while the ones on the right are street shoes...

Whatcha think?

If flintstone'ing it strikes your fancy.... perhaps you might look into street luge'ing "brake shoes".
A sneaker of your likeing.....(maybe the black ones.. They're also flatter), and a good tire of choice... Firestone, Mickey Thompson, hankook, goodyear.... ect...
Cut off a piece of tread and glue em down......

**** if it helps stop a car......... even the Poboy contrapt-o-machine will be no match....

or..............................

Maybe some carbon or ceramic braking compounds added to the sole of your feet.........

......An idea..........My budy had a '24 Ford model T.... it came with wooden transbrake shoes.... the luxury brakes were coton rope pads............

Now if thats not a wealth of info I dont what is.....

Or your going to look really funny with broken plates/brickets/T shirts and gouging rods strapped to your feet........

You give me too much credit.
Sorry I took so long to reply, I was out checking all the Dumpsters in my area for wood.
I have a project in mind that will thrill and amaze.
It's a secret right now but once I get going I can't be stopped.
Watch this spot for updates.
Hint: Wile E. Coyote will be envious.

    :smiley_omg:, So you're the high bidder at Acme's final bankruptcy sale!?!?!?!?! Is it true that your high bid was only $3.09 and the lint out of your bellybutton?!?!?

I mean, those of us in in certain industries knew that they were hurting, but the announcement with the auction starting in 15 minutes/ending 5 later floored everyone!!!!! Their server didn't even contact the trade magazines for something like 2 or 3 days!!!!!!!

So, just who was your inside connection? :toetap05: :toetap05: :toetap05: :toetap05: :toetap05: :devil2:

I got the last 5 in stock.
I think I can incorporate it into the brake system on the new project.
