:welcome2: to the forum....please fill out a profile location....(it'll help us locate those parts for you)....

NOW.....We need the HP of your engine, the tooth count on your clutch and axle sprocket, a general guess on the weight of the kart and driver, and the terrain you plan on riding....Also....whether you have CC or TC.....

Good news is.....those kind of wheels are readily available....we just need a size .....(why we want the other info)....and do you have tires you plan on using? (If so...please post size)....

ok thanks

the tire size just needs to be about the size of a riding lawn mowers rear tire/rim size i currently have some wheels and tires i planed on using but the wheel hub on them is too long i have not yet got on the clutch but the sprocket is 65 tooth and the engine is 7hp with a few racing mods i am going to order the parts online as there's no where else i can get them other then hardware stores

Thanks for filling out your info... as Poboy mention this info is needed to help assist you, driving terrain affects what type of tire, tire size affects gear ratio, wt. affects gear ratio, etc...

Someone can help you figure out your final gear ratio (I'm not sure what pitch a 65 tooth sprocket is to suggest which size of clutch sprocket, plus factoring Wt.), but with your engine mods I would think if you stay under the 16˝ size tires you should be ok. A torque converter would be better than a clutch, especially with running on all terrain ground... which I also suggest knobby tires for.

I have a Manco 1 seater kart that has a 1˝ axle with a 3/4˝ step down. It originally came with a 7˝ rim with 16˝x8˝ knobby tires (16x8-7). These rims have the wheel bearings built in, and are held on with a single nut in the center.

I converted my kart over to hubs (3/4 Step-down) and bolt on rims (4x4 bolt pattern), due to a type/size of tire I wanted to run.

You could essentially do either conversion with your kart. The hub and rims are the more expensive route. You can see pics of my old rims and conversion in my build off thread...

I have the 2-3/4˝ hubs also. 1st pic is the front, just the threads come thru., 2nd pic is the axle - mine has 1-5/8 threads, 3rd pic is the back of hub that sides over the 1˝ part of the axle.

I assume your axle is like the image on the top of this page... 2˝ to the step, but threads are only an 1-3/8˝ long?
http://www.gokartsupply.com/axles.htm

Your axle should still work, but to hold the hub on you either need to continue to cut the threads deeper to the step, or find some sort of 1˝OD - 3/4˝ID spacer/tube that will space the back of the hub off of the axle to reach the threads on the front side, or a spacer on the front that will meet between the hub and the nut. Might be too much distance to reach with just washers on the front?

Thanks sorry if i sound dumb or something but i just need to make sure before i buy the wrong things so the wheel hubs on the wheel will fit over the 1 inch part of the axle and the step down stops it also my threads are only 2 inches long and 3/4 inch in diameter

Correct only the threaded step down portion on the axle will show thru, you just want to have it threaded all the way to the step down otherwise the nut won't go all the way to the hub to hold it on.

You don't sound dumb! Just new to the forum. Your questions can all be answered they just need all the details to be able to help. You are smart to ask first then buy, and to shop around for the best price! oh Yeah! Welcome. Here is a list of parts suppliers websites:

Think about it this way.....who asks questions???? Dumb kids or smart ones? The stupidest people are those that think they know something and are wrong....and the stupidest of them are stubborn.

We encourage questions here....without them....all we can do is pick on each other.

I like the (stupid...not! No such thing....Let's say easy or simple questions myself.....because I then stand a slight chance of answering them correctly) ...:lolgoku:

Carry on.....

PLEASE NOTE:The following are suggestions; BMI have a wide range of products at very competitive prices but, their shipping charges can be astronomical...

Here is a sample of the hubs you need
Here is a range of rims to fit the above hubs
Tyres are the easy part but, depend on the rim size you choose...

I doubt you will find rims with integrated step down hubs...
