i purchased a manual from toyota for my pickup
now all manufaturers programs are plain rubbish
reguardless who makes it or what it does its always very slow amd full of glitches

but this particular one doesnt work at all once loaded it just crashes before achieving anything
toyota say its clearly my computer
but iv tried it on 4 separate ones

being as it was $250 im not too impressed
while i fight them for a return iv pretty much decided where they can put there friggin program and ill try and find a download

but being as they clearly put more effort into the copyright side than the running of it i cant find one

because this type of car is fairly new and used mostly by companys there arent any after market manuals

i know soe on here are geniuses at computers and the internet and some like me are unlucky or just rubish at useing them

im after a manual for a 79 series toyota landcruiser GX 2008 model (last of the steel dash)
comes under toyota part number SC0582EA

the maual covers all 70 series post 2008 (all the 1vd fte v8 turbo engines)

if someone could find one that would be great
or even a cheap on

Are you saying that you are unable to download the manual from their site after you purchased it online?

i purchased the cd from their parts department

im after a torrent or something
basically an pirated version or what ever u wanna call it

treid to do it the right way and that back fired massively

it installs fine
but it runs though internet explorer
but doesnt need internet connection

just keeps saying i need version 6 or better version of IE to run it
im pretty ver11 is better
even found version 6 and treid running it though that

i gave my laptop to toyota tech to look at it
they were baffled and basically just said its f***ed

I can only tell you how I have dealt with similar problems in the past. Find the name and physical address of the highest up in the company you can.I would suggest just a bit of moderation here though- something below vice-president- maybe top dog in PR or software.....Too high up and they won't take you seriously.

Secondly- draft a letter that starts off: "To whom it may concern::

Gentlemen-I have been a loyal and satisfied Toyota customer for many years now and I have recommended your fine cars to too many people to count. You truly make one of the most finest and affordable vehicle lines available today. To me, the Toyota brand exemplifies quaility and reliability in every respect.

So it was much to my surprise and chagrin to receive a defective product directly associated with the Toyota name. Even more surprising was the lack of cooperation with your company in resolving this matter.

The item in question was a CD manual that has been verified by local experts as defective in manufacturing. I'm not asking for a refund- only value delivered for funds delivered for said product. So far all efforts in that direction have met with indifference or rejection.

So I regret to say that at this time, I will no longer be able in good conscience be able to continue to endorse Toyota in either my personal or official capacity and will most likely not purchase said vehicles in the future.

Thank you for your time and I hope that this was just an oversight in management and is resolved quickly and without legal remidies or publicity involved and I can resume my loyalty to your fine company.

Send it registered letter. For one thing- just having anything in writing makes corporations nervous. Registered makes them wonder more. A letter in this tone flatters and threatens at the same time- but threatens in a calm, cool calculating way that really makes them nervous- especially the "official capacity" line. Expect a quick replacement and possibly a new Camry......

EDIT: And include a physical address for a response- no email or phone # info. Likely they would rather send you another CD there than a letter that can be used in litigation. .....

Iv only ever owned and driven cruisers for the last 3 years

Grandad has only ever had cruisers since they first came to Australia in the the 60s
My day has purchased 12 pickups and 8 station wagons over the years
Our whole extended family currently own in the ranch of 35 landcruisers
At between 40 to 110k each, do the sums
And I'm the first family member to service my own pickup but I use all genuine parts

All this buisness was done though two dealers in 2 country towns called Esperance and Williams
We know the dealer principle personally in Esperance and he's a top bloke
But I purchased this while working in the city from a large branch

If they won't help me I'll ask the Esperance bloke to put the pressure on them

But on the mean time I need the manual to do wheel bearings and check fuel and boost pressure

well certainly not C (that's your main hard drive partition)
but D: or E: maybe F: (mine are V, U and Y)

If it runs in a browser window, it might be just a launcher;
in that ccase your CD root has a small exe file (the launcher) and an ini file next to it (identical name maybe)
And in the ini file (just text you can read it with any text editor)
there'll be the html file that marks the starting point.
maybe something like "/data/html/index.html"
Now you can just open said file in any browser you like.

Try running google chrome. I use IE7 for everything but the web pages that dont like IE7. For those pages I use Chrome. I'm still on a 2002 XP desktop.
