did you center the steering or was it already like that? just wondering because i have a similar frame.

i like that size tire though id build my setup around that. i think with that size tire it would be a lot more comfortable cart...

I did center the steering from where it was b/c I'm not a small guy, lol. I also removed the gas tank from the motor and mounted it beside the motor so that I can slide the seat back farther. Its actually pretty comfortable for a go kart.

The seat was just a piece of plywood when I got it so I made a new one with 2 inch thick foam and the bottom and back and wrapped it in vinyl. I am about to post some more pics now.

look like you will have to do some reworking there to get anything in there. but wait for some more experienced people to chime in

Right now I am working on a local trade on the golf cart wheels and tires for some 6" go kart wheels and tires. Also my clutch is a 10 tooth not a 12 like I said earlier. I think I'm going to see how it does with the new tires and the 48 tooth sprocket that I have and if I need to I will get a 60 tooth sprocket.

Yeah I love the way it looks and its nice to sit up off of the ground. I just didn't think ahead about how it would actually run with those tires b/c this is the first kart I have built and I didn't look into the gearing issue until now, lol.

like i said earlier, i would work around that tire combo cause it looks great... but yeah the 11hp motor i have on mine is twice as big and ive got a roll bar as well. i centered my steering too. im assuming you USED to have foot controls. im too busy sawing at the steering wheel to take my hands off! thats why i put a roll bar and seat belt! anyway check out my streaker (yours is the second one ive seen on here)
