Please help with my 200cc gio engine?

hey guys, i purchased a 200cc gio engine for $10, catch is the bike caught on fire and melted the wiring(only to where it goes inside casing,) the gears still works and none of the gaskets have been damaged the plastic drip on it and made it look worse, is there anyway to tell if the engine is good? or what wires i can use to get it going as i do not need the lights ect? thanks again

Hey, the first thing I'd do is locate the starter, and hook it up t a battery tp see if the starters any good. If itis then I'd check the sparkplugs to make sure that they're not shot and that the wires going to the sparkplug are good too. And then I'd squirt some engine start into the carb, or put a little gas down the spark plug hole and see if she runs.

Your gonna need to get the wiring to the coil hooked up.

ok awsome thanks, i opened the starter everything is good ,nothings melted but the solinoid off the starter is gone, spark plug is fine except no spark plug wire, must have melted, i can see all the colors on the wires and need a wiring diagram to figure out what goes to what, anyone have any ideas of a website to find one?
