Hello,

Im new to the forum and was seeing if anyone could help with identifying or if its even worth it, but i have a few bases to power chairs but cant find the specs for the motors and wonder if they would even work for an Adult Kart. The power chair is a Jet 3 by Pride mobility, i accually have 4 motor set ups. Heres a link for purchase of one.

depends.. two of these will likely MOVE an adult kart..

but nowhere near the speed you like ...

the motors will be in the 250W range most likely and are heavily geared down.

personally, I'd say they're perfect for toddler karts (because of their low speeds and capability to move an impressive amount of weight for their size) but not worth the hassle for an adult kart.

but since they're fairly heave I might be wrong and they can actually pack a bigger punch.
If you can make yourself a voltage divider you can test their internal resistance (assuming it's too low to test directly)
and with that calculate their maximum current flow to get the max electric wattage ...

I've seen these repurposed for a homemade Segway using Arduino control. I started on a similar project of my own, but haven't completed it [yet].
Sid is correct, there is quite a bit of reduction through the gearbox. Lots of torque, but the speed isn't too much unless you use larger diameter wheels. The originals are approximately 13 - 14 inches.
One thing to be aware of is that there is an electric brake on the end of the motor that is set until the coil is energized. I removed that part and put the cover back on.

thanks for the help, my plan was to remove the gear box and mount one motor to each back tire, and was thinking of running 24v on each
