Hey guys whats up. I need some help with my manco go kart. but okay heres the story. i got this go kart for the snow about 2 weeks ago. Ran fine for a week but then one cold night i started it up and drove it down the road and back when i came to a stop it died and the one rear wheel is stuck. Its NOT a live axle so this is the wheel that moves the kart. When i went to go try to start it up the pull start is jammed and wont move. So i didnt feel like working on it at the time so i picked it up and rolled it into my back yard and covered it back up. The next day i went to go check it out and i thought the engine siezed maybe from a lack of oil. I checked it and theres oil in there. So i have this mini bike with a harbor freight predator engine on it so when i went to go take it off and just replace it because thats what i was planning to do from the start. That engines pull start is stuck too! but that one has been sitting for only about a month max! Idk what the problem is but if someone can help me i would be very thankful.

remove your spark plugs and see if the engines will turn by pull start, in my experience, the engine wont turn because something is in the cylinder, removing the spark plug will help you determine, in these questions, the engine make and model are more important than the vehicle they are on

Could be in the pull rope / recoil.... put a wrench on the clutch bolt and see if you can turn the engines.

BTW- Please fill out your profile so we know where you are. ....

Ok, being that the drive tire is stuck, that means your clutch is bound up and wont free wheel. If it wont free wheel, you will NOT be able to pull the string. Check the clutch, chain, wheel, and sprocket to see whats causing the problem.
The second engine..... How exactly is tbe rope stuck? It wont pull out? Remove the engine cover and see what the problem is..... if you cant figure it out, post pics..... well h€ll..... post pics anyway.....

That is what I was going to say. Did you put the original clutch on the second engine too? If you did then it is probably the clutch that is stuffed, not your engines.

You could also have had something break in the wheel itself. Bearings maybe. Does the wheel turn if the engine is not connected to it? If it does, then it is probably the clutch

I assume its a Briggs and strattion right but even if it isn't remove the spark plug I don't think the problems there but its a start next remove the three mounting bolts and pull off the starter housing then see if the engine turns by hand if not separate the chain to see if the clutch is the problem I doubt it but possible if its still stuck then the motor is probably junk my money says its the rope starter assy the clutch that's on the crank is a sprag type and sometimes they rust up and seize when you take it apart its a good idea to have a blanket on the ground to catch the 5 little balls if the unit seperates while your taking it apart Good luck!
