Plans for my new racing kart project

I just finished designing the chassis for my new project. I don't know when i'm gonna be able to start it since working in the shop during a cleveland winter is not any fun. something about tools practically freezing to your hands doesn't seem very inviting lol. if anyone has any ideas on improvements/possible problems i'm open to suggestions. i attached a picture of the plans i drew up.

i pulled the motor out of a yamaha rt-100 that i got really cheap. it's not much horsepower but it's a 5 speed and when it was on the bike i could hit about 55mph so i'm aiming for about a 60mph top speed for the kart.

ya but the axle is gonna be 36" long so it will be wider at the wheels

thanks. right now i'm debating whether to just cut the tubing at angles and then weld it or try to find someone with a tubing bender. the angles would be a serious stress point but i'm also gonna use .125 wall tubing which is thicker than what is used on actual racing kart frames.

You should be fine mitering as long as you are a competent welder.
That is the method used on this kart.
