Hey guys,

Well ive started planning how i am going to throw the 6hp briggs into the cateye frame. For now im thinking switch the back wheel around, move the dual sprocket from the right to the left side, use brendonv101's method of mounting one sprocket to another one to put a #35 sprocket onto the outer sprocket of the 2. And then leaving the other one to go back directly to the rear wheel. and then connecting the outside one to my engine and ill be good (hope that makes sense)

My question is that i see it has a free wheel. will that be a problem running the wheel backwards? if i run it backwards wont the wheel just always be engaged and then i can freewheel backwards?? Thats good right?

and also can the dual sprocket be put on the left side of the jackshaft without alot of modifications??

Thanks,
Josh

The freewheel will only lock one way. If you turn the wheel around then it will never engage and you wont go anywhere.

weld the freewheel up. also it will probably unscrew from the rim unless you weld the flange onto the rim.

when i finished my mx500 with a HF engine, as soon as i hit the gas the sprocket unscrewed from the rim :roflol:

pulled out my welder and fixed that...

does it fit in the cateye? i know theres alot of room in those frames but idk if theres enough for a 6hp briggs. well whatev you can make it fit one way or another! :devil2:

Yeah it fits pretty well. Sorry i havent seen this thread in a while!! lol. Im still having some problems getting the engine to run correctly though, and since the exhaust comes out the top not the side IDk what to do about the exhaust.

I am now thinking of getting something like this engine http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/365629387/80CC_engine.html and making it a fast little shifter bike. It should fit right in and it doesnt look like itll be too hard to set up. Wadda you guys think? My dad has ordered from the site before and he didnt have any problems..
