pitbike wheels on gokart

hi,
i want to make a low-cost gokart, and i want to use both wheels on the rear side of my cart, can i just attach the wheels on the axle? (i dont know if its gonna be a single wheel drive or something else..), because on the bike, each wheel got 2 support point on a fork, will it work with just 1 support point?

The first (of many) problem here is the pedal kart will likely be made from thinner material & may not withstand the forces of the engine...

The next problem is that motorbike front & rear wheels are never the same size...

Beat me to it! Should be interesting, to say the least. This, and the Dodge powered thingy.

It can be done. Just make sure the wheels are the same size, and that the frame is properly braced use gussets and anything else needed. The steering mechanism might also not be up to the speeds you will be travelling. Post pics for us to see

i'll make pics, but guys, i'm asking if i can put a wheel on 1 support point (or however you say it), because otherwise, i'll need to figur something else. Like keeping the wheels on the forks, and attach the frks on the gokart..
and i never looked if the wheels were the same size..i'll check

It will be just like a go kart axle with just the axle going thru the wheel, theres nothing supporing the outside of the wheel except the axle

I cannot really picture what you are describing. Could you be more specific?

I think he is trying to say if he can put a bike tire on the out side of the steering bar. like the fork on a bicycle is y shaped he wants to put a wheel on each side of the fork with a bolt for the wheel. im not sure if im right but let me know i can help/

Not really- ( at least I think ). What he is saying and asking about is this: the axles on a pit bike are supported on both sides: (by a fork in the front and the frame in the back ) . To convert to a gokart set-up the outside part of the spindle would be unsupported. So the real question (that I can't answer- btw) is whether there is enough meat in the spindle diameter to support the wheel from only one side.

Otherwise he is considering using 2 forks turned sideways....
