Finally got my kart done here's the rear brake I used. The master cylinder is from a newer R6 and the caliper is a dual piston from a early 80's suzuki gs850. I need to buy new pads but it will still lock up the tires on this heavy kart

Very Cool!

One question if may, ... Is your reservoir hard mounted, or is it just balancing on the end of a rubber hose?

Regards
Bill

Trust me it's not going anywhere. That brake line is nice and firm and isn't going to move. Me and my buddy were riding it around for about an hour until the bearings on the jackshaft started falling apart. They were brand new from BMI karts but now there's soo much play in them it's making the belt on the torque converter slip. I guess I'll have to find some better ones

Ok, ... my main concern was that if it moved around to much, .. it might come off the hose. Nothing like hitting the brakes and see a giezer in front of your face with the wind blowing 35 mph or so.

Glad to see you have it covered!

I got to do this with my go kart because it still has the old mechanical syle on it and they suck.

As far as bearings get you some big pillow block bearings.

Aren't the ones from BMI the small and puny?

The ones that came with the jack shaft kit from Bmi are the same as the wheel bearings I ordered. I home the wheels don't get all jacked up too. I gave one of them to my buddy and he said he can get me automotive bearings that same size. I should have them tonight
