Pics of eclipse?

Anyone in the totality area of the eclipse? We got about 65% in my part of Texas. Even the dog took part

I'm not in the total area... At work we were looking at it through our miller digital elite welding helmets... Was pretty cool at 86% coverage...
Went pretty dark out... Like evening time for a good half hour....

Couldn't find the fixed shade lenses... So tried my helmet...

Bad pic.... Washed out because of the focus...

Cool! At 65% it didn't really seem any darker here. Certainly wasn't any cooler outside!

I didn't take pics because we had massive amount of cloud cover and thunderstorms during the best parts. Though I did see about a 20% coverage, used a Northern Industrial auto darken hood set to shade 13, it looked pretty cool. October 14, 2023 will be the next one. 2024, Texas would have a lot more coverage.

I took a few tried the glasses and I had a no8 lens and my auto darking helmet. The autos don't work. The no8 was too light and just made me see spots. But I did manage to get one pic that actually focused. It was at the very beginning and we only got 60% here in NM.

Maxed out shutter speed. Got this strange result.

Edit: Lost a lot of detail in uploading. On the original, below the bright sun and treeline, there was an image of the eclipse. Some kind of optical weirdness I guess.

Cool! I took a few with my phone but they were all circular, there was no eclipse at all. I didn't use any shade though, just tried to see what would happen.

Did any body notice the shadows we're different too. The small spaces between the tree leaves make a focus point and the shadows make crescents

It was so bright here ,West Michigan, didn't notice shadows, sure was kind of creepy tint.

Watching PBS, interesting fact. The moon is 400 times smaller than the sun, but 400 times closer. Effectively making it appear thr same size on earth. Just the right distance to hide the sun in a total eclipse while revealing the corona. What are the odds?

I didn't take any pics, but we had 90% here in MT. It was neat, but a buddy of mine lives down in Idaho where it was 100% and they said you could see some stars it was so dark. It just got a little dimmer than usual here. I watched it with one of my really old helmets that isn't auto darkening.
