It is. Just continue to do oil changes (hopefully monthly) and you'll do great.

And just so you know, there are lots of power-adders to that 5 horse :p

Haha, take it to a local track or somewhere legal to ride karts. So far I've been quite lucky. Drove it around 7 times ever since finishing it. Cops either came before or after I rode it. A truck passed by once (or so my friends said), stopped, saw my kart, and wrote something down.

Next day, a police "truck" came down, did a circle (small couldesack or however you spell it). I had my kart out at the time (oil change). Waved at me and left. I almost had a heart attack :p

So I gotta stay low for a few days :p

Asking for BIG trouble on this one.
Doesn't know what he has. Learn the basics 1st and foremost.

Heh, with that $750 ticket, I doubt he'll be riding much any longer.

And if he brings it to a local track, it'll be the opposite.

No tracks next to my house that I know of. Would a Empty parking lot be okay? :p

Holy freaking crap, another funny thread.... Sorry Aryukei. :roflol:

Yeah man, you need to get your hands in there, get dirty, read some stuff on small engines! If you can, find yourself an old book called "Midget Motoring and Karting". It's a REALLY old book but contains TONS of simple, basic information that would really help you out in learning the basics. I actually read this book when I was in 6th or 7th grade and actually bought a copy a couple of years ago on eBay because it was so useful and contains valuable information.

There is only one mention of Blitz Kart in the book and that is on the list of Manufacturers. It reads:

Blitz Kart, Inc.
199 Broadway
Huntington Station, N.Y.

The book was printed sometime in the 60's, I believe.

No, not Broadway. Near railroad station that I can walk to.
Had one of the original Blitz Karts in garage for the longest time.
I don't remember much about it. I was only about 9 years old.
I recently read an article where some guy made a Blitz Kart 'street legal' and drove it across this great nation.

I read the first part of that article. Wasn't it in a really old issue of Popular Mechanics or something like that?
