Nah. I will explain the full story.
I posted an add on gumtree. First person replies. Phone £120. He first wanted to do bank transfer. He got paypal, then he couldnt get pics to me. I would not pay with out them. He stopped texting me.
Second person replies (This case). They sent pics to my email (Blurred cos of their phone). They then sent me their first paypal account. It didn't work correctly for some reason, so they refunded me, and gave me their mum's paypal account to try. This locked their account. They could not refund me so they said start a claim. I did this, and yesterday got my money back. They are still willing to send the phone, but their account is locked for up to 180 days.
I offered to 100% pay by bank transfer if they sent the phone 1st. They obviously were not up for this (understandable) and I was not up for paying bank transfer before recieving for the same reason. I wondered if there is a paypal alternative that offers buyer protection.
3rd person: they texted me just after the second person with a better phone for £150. I was planning to sell it on ebay, and sent them the money after they tried to send pics to my phone (my phone is crappy and assumed thats why I couldnt view them.)
They claimed to post. I payed for next day delivery. When it didnt come next day I texted them. Apparently they posted second class. Waited 5 days. Nothing. Tried ringing them. The number is not recognised. Currently have a PP dispute going on. I should win, as they have no proof of postage.
Maybe I should go and get my parents to fork out 35 quid a month for a f*cking iphone contract like half my classmates do!
