So this is what I scored for 100$ the other day. At first, this is what I got (Pic1). The motor was just sitting on the frame, nothing was hooked up or bolted down. The motor came with a 20 series driver clutch (oh goodie!), but no driven or belt. I took that off and put it away for future use. I Like the black and yellow theme going on..

Next I threw on a standard centrifugal clutch (Pic2) and got it all bolted up and threw a chain on it. I noticed two wires coming from underneath the shroud. The motor has a lighting coil, red wire 3 amps dc+ current and yellow wire 5 amps ac current. Can someone explain how I would wire up a pair of low amp draw headlights with a battery? the DC current could charge the battery correct?

I also took time to rotate the tires because the rear tires were a little low on tread. I need to buy tires soon. I also noticed there were bearings on the passenger side hub, factory disabled live axle?

Next up I hooked up the throttle. It's a little sketchy right now but it all works, and I have a kill switch under the wheel just in case.

Its all running good right now, I just need to fab up an air cleaner assembly. Eventually id like to buy the matching driven clutch and belt for a setup. also id like to be able to switch from 1wd to 2wd, like drilling a hole through the rear passenger hub so I could drop in a grade 8 bolt to make both wheels turn.

That being said, any suggestions on the lighting or axle?

That will only result in a weaker axle; the smart way would be to get a hub with a keyway that matches the axle & the wheel bolt pattern...

and then switch hubs if id like to switch from 1wd to 2wd, but I pulled the hub off and it has no keyway, just threaded for a nut at the end

You also want grade 5 bolts for hubs.. The vibrations and wear on grade 8 is to much. Personal recommendation. 8's work, but they are more brittle, while 5's are a bit softer.

the switch is just under the steering wheel I mean, and it is easily accessed. It was wet out today but ill have a video of my friends and I goofing off on it here in a little while! next up is moving steering to the middle and gas over to the left, theres plenty of room for me now, I just don't like being on one side!

I also just picked one of these up to fix up for my kids. Let me know what you figure out on turning it in to a 2wd!
