I havnt, but might sometime this summer. Ive been thinking about getting a gun regardless... Youth is doing a paintball shoot booth thing at the town fair thing. I got asked to help build the thing, should be fun.

Only problem, I really dont want to pay some ridiculous $150 for a gun. And I dont want to get a elchepo either... so to look at yardsales/fleamarkets and what not...

look for a tippman 98, (about 30used to 110 new) they are the most reliable marker for the money, but when your looking at paintball stuff consider a face mask, air bottle(always buy new unless you know who your getting it from) paintballs(most expensive part), to start. its not a terribly expensive hobby but highly addictive and if ya get into it, youll make some great friends and have awesome times

Thats kinda what Ive gathered, the 98 is the one to get...
Its just so darn ugly... not that that really matters...

Ide like to see a paintball shotgun, something that shoots a pile if mini paintballs, I think that would be pretty cool.

Although, after thinking about it, it wouldnt be all that usefull unless it in a close quarters type war... with the full auto and what not, a shotgun would be too "slow paced" I would think. Now, having an undermounted shotgun thing would be fun...
But that might be getting into the whole tacticool thing...

ive seen some homemade paintball guns that shoot bigger then .68 but the air consumption is horrible, the guys had to carry big *** tanks on their backs just to stay out on the field for a whole match, and more often then not they had breakage in the barrel, but they were badass. the shotgun paintball gun uses those little pistol paintballs that use a plastic sleeve, they got some 1in tube with a butterfly valve and packed a handfull in with some tissue paper, and hooked up a Co2 can to it, it was neat but you get one shot then reload manually, slow but it had an air of awesome.

This is one that we have modified. It's now a pump gun. Not a great picture but it works. It was a Brass Eagle Raptor

I have a spyder rodeo with a 16" aftermatket barrel, a hopper, and 9oz tank. It was bought and used once because i did not like the sport much. It has scrached up adapter thing( not sure how to explain) but other wise its perfect condition. $50 plus shipping, i live in Yuba City CA if pickup is avalible. I polished and waxed it so its nice and pretty, PM me for for details and your email if you want photos. Just thought i would say somthing since your on the subject.

Heres a Wiki.

Before Go-karting I used to be really into airsoft, which is similar to paintball in some ways (different in a lot of other ways too).
