For your frozen pulley, you're going to need PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench or that new WD-40 "Professional" something penetrating fluid that Poboy likes. Soak the pulley well--it may take several applications and follow this with light to medium hammer tapping on the pulley directly, preferably in the direction it needs to go. Use a sizable punch for this if you have one. Hammering does two things: it applies directional force for removal and also induces vibrations in the two parts and may break the rust bonds free.
If that fails, break out the blowtorch and direct the heat at the pulley only so that the heat will expand the pulley away from the shaft. Hammer it off before it cools.
If that fails, destroy the pulley. Use a ball peen hammer and a cold chisel. Use of an air powered cut-off tool might be better. Work carefully so as not to damage the shaft or the keyway.
Speaking of moving threads, the mods should either move this thread out of "Introduce Yourself", where people only come to greet the newbies or you start another focusing strictly on your engine teardown and assessment. That's probably the best option.
