Communication with the dead.. Or is this an aneurism!!??!!

Photo # 1 show's the damaged part. It show's the good thread's on the left end, and the destroyed one's on the right.

Since Doug claims that he looses consciousness when reading any post longer than ~4 to 5 line's, I'll try to keep this short.

Never seen this part before. Maintenance has no detailed information on it. Factory specific, custom all the way around. The mating part for the damaged end is also kind of FUBAR'ed....

Two days of trying to fab up a part that works with way less than sufficient data, the engineer in charge of that machine wants to know why I haven't fixed it yet; his selective hearing lasts just long enough for his bosses to rip him a new one for not getting me the data I need. (Apparently I'm not supposed to know what the company phone directory is for, let alone how to use it)....

Photo #2 show's a small gift from the head of maintenance; don't know where he got it, but it sure sum's up the last couple of days, that's for sure......:censored:

Tell me about it buddy..

incomplete, or worse: inconsistent information is a royal PITA to deal with;

No matter what you do, by the end of the day it was incorrect anyways...
doesn't matter if it's an engineer or a woman you deal with,
if you don't get them to talk, you'll be doing wrong, and if you do... you DID WRONG already :D

'sid

PS Oh look, Doug approved five lines only :D

OK....You can't make this stuff up!!!! I was just awakened by the sound of breaking glass....

I was reading this thread....when.....

OK....so back story: I recently pickled some jalapenos....which were too firm....and I forgot to "spice" them up...so...I re-pickled 3 quarts...(noting the time for later reference) .....

Then I did another quart....and decided to let it go just a leetle bit longer....

So....I woke up to find mushy jalapenos all over the kitchen cieling, cabinets, and stove.....although with broken mason jar fragments everywhere.....

Seems the water had completely evaporated.....and the jar exploded....

I'm awake now!!!!!

Thanks Pat.....JK....
