I'm looking into ways to get a bigger tire onto the rear of a Razor Dune Buggy (preferably taller, for a little more top speed). Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a direct replacement for the 20mm hub split rim because Razor likes proprietary sizes. Could a larger tire fit in place of the 200x50s on the stock rim? I know regular vehicle rims have a range of acceptable widths, but I can't find any information on rims this small.

geraing higher might have more ill effects thatn you'd expect
(burning clutches, not enough torque to take off, not even reaching the speed you currently have etc...)

And yes, increasing the top speed by any other mean than increasing engine rpm IS gearing higher
that does include taller rear wheels.

So before you buy tyres or wheels make sure it's at least theoretically still feasible.
(power, gearing, weight, wheel size and some math)
