ive fully assembled to kart and i have discovered a problem ...
when i turn the steering wheel past half way the outside front wheel will lift about 1-2cm off the floor :/
im thinking its gunna be camber angle or something like that ....
if so how do i set up the steering correctly ????

What tire left or right for start. Also is this when in motion or standing still?
Could you post a pic.

when i turn right the left hand front wheel comes off the ground by 2cm, and when standing still... didnt want to risk driving it with iffy steering.
will post pictures tomorrrow as its in work

Wheel jacking, I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it. With caster in the right direction (top of spindle slightly behind the bottom), the inside tire will go slightly downwards when turned that direction. Racing karts use it to actually lift the rear inside wheel when braking and cornering for better turning with a live axle.

Yeah- what HE said. The $50 question is how does it behave while driving it. Going round a corner, the weight will be thrown outward- it should put that outside tire down and lift the inside rear.

This a design tactic that is used to help combat the naturally horrible steering properties brought about by a live axle.
