Well, if you're dumb you gotta be tough. in the instructions it's friggin spells out that the two most common failures are from not checking clearances and not torquing to spec. Sad to see $60 rod plus all the other parts scuffed up, hole in block because he didn't want to follow simple instructions.

That, and the fact the engine was trashed. We all knew it was going to happen. I'll bet that engine didn't have 20 hours on it.

I did the same thing too. I sort of recognized the lazy, booze-addled speech and sure enough, it's Speedy 212/FreeRunner.
Hence the "beginner" reference in post #4.
