The Honda CD200 is also different to the DT175 when it comes to the chain drive sprocket. The chain cannot route downwards to the wheel axel sprocket. This forced me to add a Jack shaft.
I had to fabricate a new bracket to mount the Jack shaft’s plummer blocks and the rear shock whose position clashed with the engine’s position.

After the rear shock was mounted in its new position I could proceed with finishing the kart’s rear pipe structure. I used galvanised tent poles I got from my neighbour. The pipes are only tacked together at this stage. I will weld them properly the next time I get a chance to work on the kart. I was able to re-use some of the quad’s frame (in black) to mount the rear pipes to the top of the shock, as well as the quad’s fuel tank. The angle that the fuel tank is mounted at the moment will limit the amount of fuel that it will take, but I can live with that.

I also spend a whole Saturday modifying the exhaust to fit properly.

I bought the sprockets for the jack shaft. (15 teeth to 17teeth from the engine to the jack shaft and 15 teeth to 32 teeth from the jack shaft the wheels)
The next steps are to turn the jack shaft and to start with the linkages for the clutch, brakes and the throttle.

be careful of zinc fever when welding galvanized steel. don't weld inside at all and make sure your welding with your back to the wind.
