I'm sure some of you here know I'm into more than just karts and minibikes, so I thought I'd start a rambling mess of a thread that should at least somewhat chronicle my progress. I have way too much going on.

This is a 67 fastback mustang I built and drive for my employer (his son drives it too, but it goes faster (well, quicker anyway) when I'm at the helm. I originally got acquainted with the car in '08 when I was on a build team for the show pinks. We got the car done an were testing with it when they changed to pinks all out only. They said running for slips was gambling and therefor illegal, so we took it to Memphis and ran all out with it. This car is on the out takes reel from the '08 all out in Memphis.

I didn't like the big cowl hood on it, so I made a new scoop that kind of resembles a cobra style scoop, I had to scale it up quite a bit to clear the dominator, but I like it much better now, plus you can see around it.

Wow, a TV Star. LOL

Kidding...That is pretty frickin cool, but after three yards - you probably shouldn't race automobiles.

That's a quote from one of my all time favorite movies slightly edited to be acceptable here. Two Lane Blacktop, if you've never seen it, I highly recommend it. As far as the TV stuff goes I was on discovery's moonshiners briefly if you know where to look. More pics to come when I get home and have better signal.

After building the extensions for the front. You can see the top with the peak on it laying in there, just not welded on yet.

Since I had the hood off, I figured I may as well gut the engine compartment and deal with a few things in there. Priority #1 in my mind was to fix a cutout that someone had made in the frame horns to clear a rack and pinion. I also extended the cage into the engine compartment.

All welded up with 1/8" plate, inside, outside, too and bottom. I left the plates that were in the new cutout and welded everything on the inside too before I put the bottom plate on.

It was about that time that I decided the car should be black. My boss gave me free reign on it, and I think nothing looks better than black and chrome.

Since it was all apart for paint, I figured it would be a good time for some new control arms and spindles since the old spindles had been extended in the tie rod arm, and tubular control arms are just cool.
