OR....OR just run out to your local MIEJERS and got to the SPORTING goods department and ring the bell for service and ask for an ORV sticker but you may want to wait until APRIL since thats when the new year starts on them.

ORV License
The DNR issues licenses for all ORVs on an annual basis. The annual fee for an ORV license is $16.25.

Licenses are valid from April 1 through March 31 of the following year, regardless of the date of purchase.

Vehicles that are licensed under the Motor Vehicle Code as "street vehicles" require an ORV license only when they are being used as an ORV. A street-licensed ORV does not need an ORV license to use forest roads, but it will need an ORV license if it is used on designated trails or in areas designated for cross-country use.

An ORV license is not required for street-licensed vehicles used on the frozen surface of public waters or designated ORV routes.

Private land owners, owners' family members, and their invited guests are not required to license ORVs that are operated exclusively on the owners' private property.

Licensing is required of ORVs used in areas open to public operations, regardless of whether the ORV is owned by a resident or nonresident of Michigan.

WAIT until april 1st because thats when the new ones come out.

We were in walmart today and my wife asked the clerk if they sold ORV stickers there and they do which is good to know.
We always assumed they did but miejers is easier for us most the times.

We are getting excited about going riding this year and I'm chomping at the bit to get going on some maintenace/repairs on the motorhome to get it ready for this summer.

the temps are looking good over the next couple of weeks.

Jeez- you guys are lucky down there. The Ontario rules here pretty clearly define an ORV, and a kart ain't. Including the fact that it has to have a seat that you straddle! With definitions like that, I don't even think you could tag an Odyssey!

That's the opposite problem we have; the forestry guys want you to have an ORV sticker on your truck/dualsport bike to go on marked trails, even if you're already plated. Each department has to get their cut of the dough.

They break it down into different groups.

Motorcycle trail= motorcycles only (secratary of state license license-MCCT)

ORV route=ORV's of all sizes including motorcycles (DNR license(ORV sticker)required unless licensed by secratary of state.

ATV trail=ORV's less than less than 50" width including off-road motorcycles (dnr license(ORV sticker)license required)

I like the dualsport bikes myself so I can ride where ever I want on-road off-road or on the tightest, funnest trails they have.
