Opinion on potential buy: Fox Hornet

I have an offer to buy a Fox Hornet for $425. This looks to be a full suspension kart with 169cc engine that was sold at Tractor Supply a couple years ago. This kart looks to be in excellent condition. They said these karts sold for $1,400 at Tractor Supply but I find that hard to believe.

How good of a price is $425 for this kart? Should I buy it? Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

its a good buy but offer him 350 and replace that wimpy motor with a cheap 212cc predator, youll be much happier

It is supposed to be in perfect working condition. No problems and less than 40 hrs ridden since it was new. I have already negotiated down and this is as low as he will go.

I made the purchase. The kart runs great. A few things surprised me that I like. It has a hydraulic brake. It also has rack and pinion steering. These two things make the kart easier to steer and stop for my son. The Subaru engine runs quiet and starts on the first pull.

The kart is overall in very good condition. The only thing showing wer is the little rubber "accordion" covers that go over the steering linkages. Anyone know a cheap place to buy these?
