i need to learn throttle control

my friend let me ride his race bike again. i went around for a while (using much more throttle than last time...) anyways, the bike is WAY too big for me. i asked him if i could do one more lap around the field to end the riding season. he said sure. so i went.

he took my baja through a huge puddle in front of me. then i went around the side, 3rd gear, i pinned the throttle and all of a sudden i remember going past the point of no return- when the bike is past straight up. then i just landed on my *** and orange plastic shatters went everywhere!

:ack2:

cool video, I'm assuming you're alright.... because you're not afraid to post a spill like that. Some guys might be too embarrassed....:innocent: Anyhow, it looked like you were handling that bike like a charger cept for that last blip. When were younger dudes, all the cousins had minibikes which was the cool thing back then. But for whatever reason, my dad felt dirt bikes was better for us. We couldn't even touch the ground back then, and had to take off with the bike still on the kickstand :eek:ut: We were definitely out gunned, but in that video, you're right with it.

i can barely even get on the seat of this bike... and barely put my feet down lol.

my rear end has some pretty big bruises. ow. the crash actually kind of happened perfect in a way, because the bike just took off like a rocket from underneath me and i just sat down.

i think that the only piece that broke on the bike is the rear fender. hes gonna tell me how much and ill pay for it...

EDIT: i have rode this bike 2 times for a total of about 20 minutes... so i guess i was just too throttle happy and should have learned the bike better.

Not hard to do on a bike like that, they haul butt.

good thing is you didnt get hurt and I'm sure you'll get the bike repaired in no time.

My brother put a suzuki 250 footpeg through his foot, well it was more of he severly pinched/mangled his foot between a tree and the footpeg but he was not walking on it most of that summer.

bummer ay

u would have to wonder what the fenders are made out of to break so easy

the first time i rode a 2 wheeler it was an old 200cc ag bike
i put it into trees and onto the road so many times but never damaged it
a combination of rough ground, bad balance and no experiance at speed

oh wel hope the damage bill isnt too big

there should be some kind of skeleton underneath the back fender at least.

my friend says $60... i already gave him $33 from what i had on the spot just got $27 to go haha. he said $110 that day after i crashed it but found out it was 60.

oh yeah and he got me good. told me it was only gonna be $10 and i was so happy. then he was like KIDDING its $60

Yah but he lost the fender and the side plastic right?

IDK. I had many dirtbikes and never broken any fenders. Quads yes but never a dirtbike. Maybe I got lucky.

the rear and side fenders are made as one whole piece.

this is a pretty heavy bike (yes a 4 stroke race bike will weigh more) but all that weight landing on the plastic fender is going to break it no matter what.

and shoved a ton of dirt into the exhaust

Yah your right friend. Most my crashes have been lay downs. Coming down on a fender like that it has no chance.
