Hello out there.I have a one wheel drive "deadaxle".I am running a clone 6 horse.Hillard 12 T clutch.72 tooth sprocket.My question is this,how much clearance is best between the two sprockets?The engine is to be mounted to the side,so the two sprockets will be in the vertical plane relative to one another.It seems my engine drive shaft is kinda low.apriciate any info. I like beer!!

The sprockets can be quite close to each other. I am sure if they are 4-5" apart it would be fine. What clearance do you have?

Uh, I think you put the wrong line in there, should be / not -

Once everything is secure, you can have as little as 1/4" between the teeth, as long as nothing is touching anything else, you should be good...

thank you for the repsonses.fabroman,thats what I was hoping.It seems to me the shorter the better,as far as efficiency is concerned.
