Hey guys and gals, figured i would post another of my long on going project builds. 1979 honda cb 750 dohc custom bobber build, purchased a complete rebuildable bike from my friends motorcycle salvage yard for $400.00 complete with working engine not seized. Been in the process of making the hardtail frame and building a custom springer front end, purchased brand new tires front and back. I will see if i can find some on going pics of it to post up.

looks pretty nice, id suggest some thicker tubing at least for the top tube though, that things gonna have a lot of power

Hey man, the honda frame is 1.125" standard and i am sleeving in some slugs to join 1.25" 1/8" wall dom tubing for the back half of frame. It will be very strong when all welded in place with solid slugs to join the tubing together. Still tons to do but little by little, not rushing the build.:cheers2:

Wicked ride man. Another brother from BC, just a little south from ya.

I have a ton of question to ask on the building of your bike, I am looking to build a bike of my own kinda like your own but different.
Let see some more pics
I am going to PM with more details.

Hey man, what part of B.C are you living. I have tons of information on bike building, i also have alot of chopper plans of all sorts of frames, springer front end plans. Also have plans to build your own jd2 tubing bender to make your own frames, i will find some more pics of my chopper build and post them up. Have not got as far as i would like yet, been really busy on my 1980 camaro rebuild and go carts.:cheers2:

If the OP's buddy has a salvage yard, he probably has a number, Oman is going to be killer on the shipping though.

Oh am in the lower mainland.

does your friend have any other cheap bike like the one you bought?

Hi there, my friend has tons of all kinds of bikes depending on what you want. Shipping would cost a ton to get a bike shipped to you. My friend kory runs merrit motorcycle salvage yard in B.C Canada, do a internet search and you will find him.
