On the way of building my first kart

Hello guys ,
I'm 23 years Egyptian and my name is Ahmed
Let me tell you how did it start
I was visiting the annual cars exhibit in Cairo-Egypt and there i saw the go karts for the first time , its commercial ones , and when i asked the responsible for the karts he told me that there is a brand new track for go karts in Egypt for the first time and it was shocking when he told me about the prices
the kart is for 10,000 $ and the renting price for 15 minutes is 600 euros
So , I kept on starring on the showed karts and found that its not a big deal,it does not deserve all that amount of money and came up with the idea of building the go-kart
after many searches and googling every where , i found this forum and it was really helpful
So, I collected my friends and started to work
first
ask about the prices for all the stuff that we gonna need and let me give you a hint about the prices in Egypt
Engine : kobal copy Honda "chines" 5.5 Hp 100 $
Tubes : 3mm thickness 10$/M
Centrifugal clutch : 35$ no tooth some other type
tires : 5 to 10 $ depends on the diameter
and many other things

I'm just sending to you to let you know that there is a spark of hope that is far far away from you and its all because of your inspiring work
so help me and my friends and I promise when the kart is up and running the first poster on it will be for your forum

one last question :
how to decide on the clutch ration if I'm gonna use a 5.5 Hp engine

glad to hear you discovered the site. People usually use about a 5:1 or 6:1 gear ratio for a fun kart

what you need to do is post pics through out the project and if you run into a problem im sure people here will help gladly. best of luck and if and whan you do sell it for 10g yo send some this way lol. kidding but am i?
