I think ElMoto.net (a DIY electric motorcycle forum that I got banned from, years ago ) went to paying-members only too

Bikers...have BIG egos (that can get "bruised" quite easily)
...& as you all know, I don't always do things "by the book"

They didn't like where I mounted the motor on my ElMoto (electric motorcycle)
...& they didn't like the way I routed the chain

Also, they didn't like things like
...I was NOT using a BMS on my battery pack
...or (in their words) "proper" 48VDC switches for my "signal circuits"
&
I'm a Plonker (someone who don't take any sh*t)
...so...yea..."we" clashed a bit

Basically, they couldn't "handle" me

You remind me of "forcefed86" over on OMB. He waded into an internal combustion thread with an e-bike trying to convert everyone to electric I guess. Just reminded me of you and hurt egos and all that. Probably worse threads there.

Boosted, Blown or doped?

Saw recent discussions about blowers and such. Anyone consider the easy stuff? Nitrous is a healthy boost in power and fairly simple. Methanol fuel is relatively inexpensive and fairly simple to tune. Anyone here use the less complex power adders on our small engines? What's your experience? Any...

My account still works, don't go on there much as of recent, but still works. That site has gotten real thin with posts the last few years. The Classified section was crazy back in the day especially with us metro Detroiters. Sold and bought a ton off of OMB.

Did they close the membership to newcomers unless they pay to play? Honestly I don’t know but it does not appear that Hent’s stated conditions are in place.

Yes I made posts today scammers are still signing up free unless the scammers are paying hent.

The only difference to omb is now there is this massive weird space in between the members name and the post they made. Like I hit the space button a couple hundred times then started typing.

We can see all posts but not all pictures. some load some don’t. Also super weird. I also just chose to go on like normal and not even mention stuff. Business as usual minus the couple hundred space bar taps and pick and choose photos that load.
