Old Tecumseh question

Have an old flathead (H60) that came off of a Rotohoe tiller. It has a port on the side below the breather that the people on Facebook say is probably for a fuel pump.

Thinking the engine is around a '68, not entirely sure on that one.

Looking at that splitter and ram I think that engine is going to be way too small for that thing. My 36 ton splitter has a 12 horse Briggs and it will bog down on oak knots sometimes. When this engine goes a 420 or bigger will replace it.

bet its the diaphragm, i have a b&s from the 60s that has the same style carb that wouldnt run correctly until i replaced it

Has the Tecumseh on it now. Pump starts making noise before the engine bogs. Which doesn't say much because it doesn't like splitting some of the larger stuff.
