I have had this old moped for a long time which was given to me by a friend of mine who is departed. It will be probably the slowest two wheeler I have ever owned. I have had the engine running and it runs very well. Kind of cool but nerdy too! I am going to strip it down and go through it just for sh-ts and giggles!

You should put one of these on it.

Thanks guy's! This is not something that I would normally even be interested in but due to the fact I know the little things history and it was given to me by one of my truest friends that has passed away it does mean something to me. I sent an email and photos to a site in France that specializes in old motorcycles and mopeds and this one has got them stumped. I also have searched the web and I cannot find any information about this brand of moped but I did find some info on the engine which is a Himo 51 engine and the ID tag on the engine has what I believe is the date of 2-3-56.

Guys, I won't be riding the moped to any Vespa rallies to try to pick up ladies.
I picked one up about 24 years ago just walking!::cheers2:

I did get some information back from France in regards to this old relic.
It is the C.C.H.-F.T. model in this PDF file.

The name of the little bugger is Automoto.
If I sand the paint off on the fuel tank I might be able to see the original brand name on the side of the tank according to the pictures I see in the PDF file of the moped.
