Not sure what it is but it looks mean.
Does not have the internals and i spent 3 hours looking. He says hes going to keep looking for the crank.
Has the carb and exhaust.
Im sure someone can tell me. Its not what I was looking for and im sure i paid to much even if its just a shelf queen. Went over to his place to look at an old briggs kick start motor and saw this on a shelf.

I had to buy a bunch of stuff to even get the gent to want to sell it to me. I paid 150 for it and 3 hours digging to find the carb and exhaust. Dont know if i did good or bad. Ive never ran or had motors like this one.

We got a couple few Guys here that will know exactly what you have got there, and if it was a good deal or not. Definitely gonna be worth alot more if you find the Crank.

looks to be a iame parilla.. the head appears to be a K77.
but that was a rotary valve engine,
So yeah *shrugs* IIRC the Komet K35 was indeed a reed valve and also had this distinctive head...
so that'd be my guess.

So yeah chancer was right on Komet :D

said so ;)

Have him find the crank and the conrod, otherwise you'd be better off using it as a paper weight :(
(new parts are hard to find and expensive [think 200 for a crank with seals and bearings and another 200 for the conrod])

I wouldn't...
it's as hard to find a decent crank and conrod as it is to find a decent head and cylinder
or about any part of the engine...

Sooo.. maybe you can just split it up and offer head and cylinder and the case on ebay if you don't want it.
maybe you get your money back.. maybe you can even make a buck and a half extra .. who knows.

Or ask in the vintage kart forums if anyone has a use for it...
