anybody know if there is an old header pipe for flat head briggs still around. i talked to a local kart parts dealer, and he told me they used to call it a snake pipe. it came out from the exhaust port, pretty much straight out, then turned around the outside of the fuel tank, on the left side, went down the side of the fuel tank, then, turned underneath the tank, and pointed out, toward the right rear wheel, at an angle. we used it on our racing karts, when i was 12 years old, i'm 51 now, so that will give you an idea of how long ago it was. i don't have any pictures, but would really like to find one. i have a couple of the newer style pipes, and a straight one, but really want to find one of those old ones, if possible.

I searched google and ebay with no luck. Can you weld? If you can, make one like you remember with 3/4" black pipe and a hydraulic pipe bender..

Cut small angles of pipe and make a curve that suits your needs. short of that get some pre bent EMT elbows at home depot weld them together.

I found my near a construction site. Any home improvement store will have some.
Just need to find a good size that will work with the exhaust header flange between the studs or bolt heads.
