I suppose I could be like Poboy and say, "Thank you Captain Obvious" :cornut: but as I said in my previous post:

"If I burn up another belt then I will get a new Comet belt as opposed to the one that came with the TC kit. If I continue to burn up belts then I will pull the TC and get a 40 Series."

Right now $40 for a new belt is the more sensible financial solution as opposed to a new TC for $400. Two belts came with the current TC so I've spent nothing in that regard. The first belt blew up due to my own fault. As such, if I need to replace the TC with a 40 Series then I will make a new build with the old TC.

Just FYI, because I think you're plan seems reasonable, but you can get a 40 series converter clone for about 130.

Ok I will finish my own Joke...
So you mean you intentionally jumped out of a perfectly good airplane?

Ha! A perfectly good airplane is only a rumor!!! And I've seen some of the most hotshot pilots in the world and I'm glad I'm not a passenger when they're landing the plane.

Speaking of hotshot pilots...I haven't heard from Tom in forever....maybe he made one of those inverted 150 mph flights 5' off the deck and messed up....or the last plane he built had a problem.....IDK....

BTW: Locally...."King" Charlie Hilliard was the owner of a Ford dealership in this area....and was also a stunt pilot, and died in an airshow crash....it happens....

.....and not that it has anything to do with the price of bread....but I worked on his house...(I've been around...)

UPDATE

Been a busy week but I have been able to run the engine quite a bit and the TC seems to be holding up. I refurbished the tires and seats. Added inner-tubes, de-burred and removed as much rust from the rims and they turned out a lot better than I expected. You can see the difference between the rears and front. Fronts are next.

The seats were extremely bad and I actually threw them out but I pulled them from the trash can and put in a little bit (a lot) of elbow grease and I am excited I didn't spend the extra money for new seats. The driver's side is installed; passenger side to follow.
