Briggs and Stratton not what yer thinkin.
So l scored an old BS 12.5hp vertical shaft engine for$25. It's going to replace the engine in the Naughtagator. The hp upgrade will be nice, but the main reason is LECTRIC START!
It's weil used, but it runs sooo nice! Its one ya can tell it will run ferever, like dem old Inline 6's of yesteryear.
After several days of usehere at the Mt. Top, it locked up!
Turns out the plastic stator coil under the flywheel broke and jammed up the works. Simple fix, but why stop there? Time for a look at the innards.
l opener 'er up and found this, which l found inreresting.
