my answer remains the same though..
those six-spoke (well actually disc wheels

) are Manco wheels and they likely were on that orange Manco 400 you got.
smashing rims is never good.. and seldomly required.. penetrating oil and patience is more often than not the way to remove them without destruction.
layed eggs...
and since tri-stars are no vintage rarity and can still be replaced with new ones today.. you only spend more money than anticipated by smashing them.
So again, don't worry too much, it'd be much harder to find a manco rim for example.. smashing gopowers or hands however is blasphemic and the vengeance of the karting gods will come over you..
so better don't make that a habbit
