I have a old 340 skidoo engine can they been use'd in the summer or will they over heat.

I had a 1976 340 olympic it was fan cooled,
but it ran hot and bogged out on the warmer
days ( Nova scotia march weather + 5 daytime)
I can remember taking the hood and cowl off
and driving it that way to get more air flow.
If you get enough airflow it should work .
You might even be able to use an electic fan
from a front wheel drive car and mount it behind
the seat back. Rob.

Bogging manes it was jetted too rich.
No not in that case as it would get so hot the
fuel would vapourize in the throat of the carb and
restarting reguired cool down and massive amounts
of prime (sunlight dish soap squirt bottle full of
premix gas) into the carb.
But looking back it sure was fun.

The fuel is supposed to vaporize in the throat of the carb!
