Hello, name is Adam and I am from Oklahoma. I have plans on building a shopping cart go kart and have been looking at this site and getting ideas. While doing that I ran across a go kart on facebook and I had to buy it and now I am having to try and fix it up. It is a murray explorer frame with a 12hp kohler engine on it. I am going to be asking some questions when I get around to it currently I am looking up parts and diagrams.

Kenworth85 I am about 25 miles straight south of Coffeyville Kansas in Nowata.

I tore the carb off and cleaned it the best I could as I could not get the primary jet out but got everything else I could cleaned and put back. It runs but it has oil leak at the fuel pump and will not stay running. I need an actual gas tank for it and some new fuel lines to see if it's an issue with the vacuum or if the fuel lines are too small that I have hooked up as its old junk I had laying around.

Ok I am trying to remove the half of a pulley that is left on the engine. I am not having any luck. Is there a certain tool that I need to use or what? I am about to go get a 3 jaw puller as I do not have one and try to pull the stupid thing off that way.

It has a comet 20 series converter on it I think and this is whats left of the engine pulley. Also should I continue to run a torque converter and if so is the 20 series enough or should I go to a different one?

It has a jack shaft setup which I may be changing the sprockets on it depending on otrque converter and how this runs. Currently it has a 10 tooth on the engine side and 60 tooth on the axle side.

Start a thread in the appropriate section (so you get the proper traffic) otherwise the intro section is a technical/troubleshooting dead end, mate. It's just for howdy-do's.

Copy/Paste and Title it.

AND... add photos and such or it's like a doc trying to diagnose ailments over the phone.
