ok. well your kart is a Yerf-dog model# 3020 its a re-called model. has some pretty bad steering issues. There was a repair kit put out. so it may have already been fixed. The clutch should be a Max-torque 20 series unless it was changed to comet some time in its life.

It would be much easier to simply buy a new driven clutch. this should do it, http://www.bmikarts.com/item/Max-Torque-Driven-20-Series---Outboard-400806-6326
(unless the clutch happens to be a comet)

Hope i helped

i believe most jackshafts are 5/8ths....some are 3/4". as far as sprocket size goes....
first you need to determine what size chain you need......usually 35 or 40/41.....
then ....what size rear tires? .... and how many teeth on the axle?
from there i am sure there are plenty of people on here that could advise you on a good setup!

You say you need a jackshaft sprocket. What sprockets do you have? Give us the tooth counts of all of them. Maybe close up post a pic or two here in your thread of the engine and drivetrain so that we can see what you have

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'm gonna guess it had 10 tooth sprocket on the jackshaft.

Hi guys, sorry the the delay in response. I have counted the teeth on the axle sprocket and its a 60 tooth sprocket.

Mainly I want to see if any of you can let me know what size of jackshaft sprocket I need to get.

Ted

From your picture you have a 12 tooth sprocket.

How could you tell???

I would suggest that you go for a 10 or a 12. A 10T will give you more torque, but less speed. If you are riding more offroad, I would go for a 10T.

He can't tell. Its a 10t 1/2" pitch 5/8" bore, C sprocket from the factory.

Thanks everyone!! So its looking like a 5/8, 3/4 bore 10t jackshaft sprocket eh? Man if this works I swear I wish I could buy you all lunch lol.

I know the pics aren't great. I was investigating how I was going to take of the plate on the jackshaft to install the sprocket but my shaft is beat and I might have to do some filing to be able to get this plate off.
