Gunna cost you an arm and a leg for a 7/8" clutch! Let alone finding one! I'd say get a new engine witha 1" or 3/4" shaft cause clutchs are of abundance and you would probably save money!

What brand/model engine do you have here?

Does its output shaft (where the clutch would mount) taper down to a smaller size near the end?

Does its output shaft have a lengthwise slot (keyway) machined in?

Does the very end of your crank have a threaded hole for a bolt to hold the clutch on?

Perhaps it's worth your while to have it turned down to 3/4"? If you ever decide to upgrade to a CVT, well- I've never even heard of a 7/8" CVT...
Or-
What about returning the 3/4"clutch and getting a 1" (yes, it'll still likely cost more) and some kind of 1/16" shim-type material? Like maybe a section of carefully selected pipe, EMT, or other tubing?

I would sleeve it! They sell inner bearing race stock in cut to length. We had a German made gearbox that had odd ball size output shaft on it. Because the output shaft went through the frame of machine we had a caged bearing in the frame wall. Unable to find odd ball bearing to fit it so we sleeved it with the inner race sleeve cut to length. drop it on boiling water for 3-5 min and it will expand then slide it on and when it cools down it will not move. Also had machine shop key it for the gear that it drove.
7/8" to 1" is just a 1/8" wall thickness? I will try and find the brand we used. I remember we got it from Applied Industrial Technologies. Since the clutch is keyed I would say only have 3/4 of the sleeve keyed. Ours was only keyed on the end for the gear.
Not sure if this help but just a thought....
