ok, i need help with this

im getting a HF blue clone 6.5hp engine
and found an upgrade kit for it and it came with an air filter, gx390 carb, and carb extinsion thing. i was wandering
could i just buy a gx390 carb and not buy a extisnion?

Looks like the extender is for the wider bolt pattern on the bigger carb.

That's correct. You need the adaptor. It will NOT fit on without it.
