I'd like to create some type of drain tube so oil doesn't spill all over the mounting plate. I have the HF 11hp engine and I believe it's a 14mm thread. Has anyone done this? I've tried searching the threads and haven't had any luck. Thanks.

I haven't done this but it wouldn't take much to make a remote hose for a drain. I was thinking I might need this for my clone engine on my bike.

Re-threading the hole for the closest pipe thread size would let you use ball valves, fittings, etc. to make this. Because of the re-thread the hole would most likely not seal as well. Teflon tape or a rubber washer might fix that.

The alternate option there (less potentially hazardous to the engine, but not as desireable) is to clamp the drain bolt in a vise, and drill through it, slowly enlarging the hole until it's as big as you can sanely get away with it. Weld it into a 1/4" NPT pipe nipple, say 3" long. Wrap open end twice with teflon tape and put a cap on it.
