When I went to school.....there were no personal computers, no cordless phones.....polaroids were in their infancy......no microwaves. ....no internet. ....no cable TV.......integration was in it's infancy......skateboards had steel wheels.....half-pipes were in ashtrays!!!!!

So.....it's a totally different world today......

Let me guess.....you had to walk 10 miles barefoot in the snow to school....:D

Was Microsoft DOS pretty much a command prompt run computer, With no mouse?

Well. ...my take on it is....pretty much all computers basic programming was DOS.....but Apple and Mac...may have had a different operating system. ...but the DOS language was so similar to the language I played around with in computer infancy. ...that I just assumed it was universal. ......anyway...back nearly 20 years ago. ....before Windows booted up....you could short-cut it...and speak directly to your computer via DOS through your keyboard in DOS language. ...which I have forgotten most of. ..but should look slightly familiar. ..: DOS\\: blah blah exe....I swear.....I couldn't even get in the door now....but I used to play around with the operating system through dos.....

And I probably screwed up more programs than I fixed.....but it was pretty cool typing in "commands"......and actually having something obey.........

Unlike the wife and kid!!!!!!

I wouldnt say its changed that much
When I was at school we had no computers what so ever
No tv in any form (about 10 videos)
At least 1 day a week or if it got above 40*c we lost electricity
No movie cinima
No skate boards no skate park

And this was in the 90s

But then the 2000s cane along
Satellite dishes were introduced

Living on a farm 130km from the berest town may have had something to do with it

**** we still cant get cable tv
Even if u live in the middle of the capital city
Theyre only now trying very hard to put in cable internet
(Exculding the old dial up)

Well when I was in school we had to walk 10 miles to school in blinding snow storms every day carrying 100 lbs. of books even in summer and both ways were up hill!:smiley_omg: We never even got snow days! Now if more than 2 flakes fall or it gets a little chilly schools closed.
Seriously, one of my girlfriends kids invited me to school one day she is in the second grade. They start the day off with swimming, when I was a kid we went swimming in Lake Michigan with no lifeguards after school. They have gym class, we got our exercise by trying to cross 4 lanes if Indianapolis Blvd. twice a day at morning and evening rushhour with no stoplights or crossing guards to help us ( that will get your heart pumping). They have I-pads, we had note pads. They have computers, we only had our brains, (in my case I was using a flawed instrument from the start). Her first grader can type 30 words a minute I'm lucky to type 30 words a day. Did I mention the bus picks her 5 kids up at the doorstep and then drops them back off there every day. Kids have it rough now a days.

Thanks again all for the warm welcome! I hope I can help around here.
By the way the film goes in the back of the Camry, at least it does on my Kodak125 and Browning 110, ButI have no idea where the flash bulbs go. Maybe on the roof?
