So, I dont have access to a welder, and even if I did, I dont know how to do it. I had to shorten some bumpers on my frame (cut off a curved piece aboout 5 inches long from each end of the bumper), to make room for some larger tires. Im not looking to cut the bumpers off completely yet.....My question is, I would like to just shorten the pieces I cut off, and attach them back on....Since there is no weight or stress put on these bumbers, would it be ok to just JB Weld the parts back on? I understand this isnt the BEST thing to do, but im just looking for something to get by with for now......

What I would do, if I didn't have access to a welder, is find some tubing that fits snugly either inside, or outside, the tubing your bumper is made from, make sleeves for each joint, then drill and bolt or rivet them on, ;)

Well the thing with that is, the curved part is smaller then the part it was cut off of....If it didnt taper were it connected, it would probably work out better....

If you're racing against other karts then I'd strongly recommend you have it welded. If that bumper comes off and injures someone, or you, it will be pretty bad...

Yeah I hear that one, if I was racing I would for sure, but its just a parking lot cruiser, and its not the entire bumper, it will end up being about a 2in piece.....I may just leave it off entirely. But thanks for the suggestions...

So thats KINDA what I ended up doing. I found some 5/8" threaded steel rod, and cut it down to 4" pieces. It was a tight fit so I basically had to "screw" the rod into the frame, I used some JB weld type stuff to seal the deal. It was such a tight fit as it is, I dont think the JB weld was really necessary...I was banging the crap out of it about an hour or so later, and its not going anywhere. For those who think im crazy for doing it that way, and worried that the bumper will fall off, all I did was shorten the bumper by about 4" on each end....
